Q. What is the history behind Big Sky Family Care?
A. Big Sky Family Care, PLLC came to be when Alicia Hamilton, PA-C was given the opportunity to give care that supported her care-giving style. She works with a group of people who have her same care-giving mentality, creating what she calls her “Care Team.” Medicine and care should be unique to the patient. She prefers the closer relationships to the faster appointments, and for this purpose, allows same day appointments to maintain patient continuity.
Q. What types of appointments do you have at Big Sky Family Care?
- Acute care visits for minor injuries or illnesses
- Preventative care
- Annual physicals
- Routine well-child visits
- Sports physicals
- DOT physicals (Predicted to begin February 2015)
- Follow up for chronic care conditions

Q. What is the Patient Portal?
A. The Patient Portal is a secured internet connection which allows the user to set a password and access their records, send us messages and even request appointments.
Q. Will I have access to my medical records?*
A. Yes! We participate in the use of electronic health records and we use a “Patient Portal” which will allow you to see records, labs and notes.
*Currently we are learning how to use this feature, and we look forward to discovering its full potential.
Q. How do I schedule an appointment?
A. We schedule appointments by phone, through our website, and through the Patient Portal. Patient Portal appointments are for maintenance appointments only (such as a 3-month follow up on medication or to schedule an annual visit), and require that you give us two business days’ notice to accept your request. If it is urgent or an emergency, just call us at 406-952-4088.
Q. Do you use email for communication?
A. We do have a business email that is not used for urgent communication. We do not have individual email addresses, but if you would like to send us a non-urgent message, please feel free: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. Do I have online access to the paperwork I need to have filled out prior to my appointment?
A. Yes, our website has a forms flow page where you may download forms prior to your appointment, to bring with you.
Q. What if I have questions about my bill?
A. We will be happy to discuss your bill with you, and if we are unable to answer your question, we will have our billing specialist give you a call.
Meet the Big Sky Family Care Team
Alicia Hamilton, PA-C, Founder
Born in Ohio and raised in Florida, “Ali” is a self-proclaimed “Yankee by blood and a rebel by heart”! She has been serving in the Army National Guard for over 20 years. She started as a field medic which led to her becoming a paramedic/firefighter before her selection into the Interservice Physician Assistant Program, where she became a PA in 2009. She met her husband while stationed in Fort Sam-Houston, Texas and moved back to Great Falls; a great place to raise kids. Now with two young children and a life that she would state is her “calling”, she proudly serves the community of Great Falls with a spirit for an individualized approach at healthcare. She loves the outdoors, fishing, camping, history and her new winter-time sport “quilting”! She would love to learn piano, become fluent in another language, and go sky diving (some day).
Jacinda Hendricks, Office Manager
Jacinda was born and raised in Montana. She is an honored wife of a retired Naval Corpsman and a proud mother of 3 children, and 2 beautiful daughter in-laws. Jacinda and her family, moved back home to Montana to be closer to their families. She has years of medical experience under her belt and she was an activities director for a retirement center, group home manager for the developmentally disabled and most recently a Phlebotomist. Jacinda has always had a love for the medical field and helping others. Grace- The exercise of love, kindness or goodwill: disposition to benefit or serve others.
Dena Wells, MA
Born in Montana and has lived there all of her life. She has been married for 23 years and has 3 children and 1 granddaughter. She has been a caregiver for all of her life in one way or another. Dena has found the balance as a Medical Assistant, where she has nearly 20+ years experience. Every single day she learns something new and she loves that about her job!!
